Zybane is infamous around these parts
Looks good but wow, $2100 for something that uses about $100 worth of materials.

Yeah, I mean the steel obviously cuts itself, bends itself and welds itself, so this should sell for $100.

Maybe you don't know the difference between the words material and labor? My point is that a simple roll bar like this in most other cars would be sold for $500-$800. For some reason the same components sell for 3x as much just because its a GTR.

Yep, we always get a GTR "tax" that's why I will always have stuff made. At some point custom is cheaper then people trying to rape you.

Btw, I have a 8 point 4130 cage in my s2k and it was $1500 unpainted but welded in.

We do custom cages and full chassis work all the time. When you have a powder coated bar with custom made and produced brackets for a specific vehicle vs just flat pieces of steel that adds time and materials which translate into cost. Also risking a screw up on a roll bar install on a GTR is not worth the hassle or cost. Imagine if a non experienced shop welds on a car and the ecu fries, hat does that cost you?

No disrespect to this one, but I'd be reluctant to fit that type of roll-bar on a road-car.

It looks like the drivers head is very near the top bar and that seat will flex a lot in an accident (I know I snapped both stock R34 GTR seats when I got hit from behind by a bus whilst stationary a few years back).

Head + roll-bar can = brain damage/death in a road crash without helmet/harnesses.

That is a bit of an optical illusiion, Jotech has the seats actually not bolted in all the pictures. They are also set far back for the image. When the seat is far back (we made the curved bar so you can move it back and recline considerably) the rollbar is 3-4" from your head. The bar follows the B-pillar so it looks good and is in a good fitment location in case of roll-over. With that being said, everyone is different in size and overall fitment combination. If someone needed a "tall man conversion" version of this bar, we could make it so the bar sat further back and had a straight center brace. This would sit further back and would not have the same ceiling height coverage in the event of a rollover.

We do feel safety is key at Titan, which is why many people have us build their competition roll bars, roll cages and even full chassis work.

Great answer.

I'm glad to hear you address this, it's a real issue as I know of someone who suffered brain damage from a similar cage in a non-GTR in a bad road crash.

Thank you, we feel safety and quality of our parts is paramount. Our staff are avid racers and have a wealth of experience both in road course and drag racing. We build a lot of competion only cars so our parts and work has to be done to an exacting standards based on SFI, FIA or sanctioning body rules.
