GTR powered Juke

I know this is the GTR thread but I figured this kind of relates to the GTR. Nissan Europe confirmed the other day that they are planning to build a 'Super' Juke. This Nissan Juke would get the GTR's 3.8 liter V6 and pushing around 480bhp which will be launching the Juke to around 0-60mph in the 4 second range. Along with the engine swap the Juke would get a few splitters added and a spoiler. What do you think of a GTR powered Juke? Sounds pretty awesome to me. I agree. It might even be able to compete with the X6 M, Cayenne Turbo, and SRT8 Cherokee in a straight line i.e. drag race

They need to expand the higher end motors into Infiniti so that they can start competing with the outgoing German rivals that they are slacking on. Now that they opened their IPL division, similar to the AMG or M division, ( also not to mention the strong relationship with the Redbull F1 racing division which is currently leading) they need to start making serious cars.

What transmission are they using to transfer the power?

Yeah the IPL division has a lot of potential if Infiniti actually uses it properly. I hope eventually they can compete with the AMG and/or M division.

The article doesn't say. I'm pretty sure they are going to have to put a new transmission in. No chance the stock Juke transmission can handle a GTR powerplant.

A manual Juke according to the Nissan website is just under 3000lbs for curb weight which is pretty light for a CUV/SUV. With that GTR engine and transmission it would definitely haul faster then the X6M which weighs over 5000lbs.

Japanese manufacturers have done this for decades...

We used to buy little hatches with the same RB motor as the Skyline GT-R's in Japan.

But about the Juke-R, I think they should make just a little uglier, so everybody hates it. Right now only about 9 people out of 10 hate the way it looks (that I've discussed this with).

For the first time yesterday, I noticed a Juke following me on the road. I got a good look at it as it passed by me at a red light. Having just read this thread I laughed to myself, "So that's a Puke".

Nissan must believe Juke owners are like dog owners, that is, they will buy a car which reflects their personality and looks. Therefore, with so many of the proverbial "ugly" Americans running around these days, Nissan should sell like millions LOL! The GT-R has never looked so good!

Look Harold, its a Juke-R..etch!
Yes at 485 hp, its a true vomit-comet.
