Today at MIR I ran twice with my GT-R:

Run #1
11.163 @ 125.33mph with a 1.867 60'

Run #2
11.192 @ 125.04mph with a 1.866 60'

Both runs were done WITHOUT launch control or building the revs. I just mashed the throttle off idle.

The track temps were about 10 degrees warmer than when I ran the other night on the private road. The private road also has about a 2.5% decline...whereas MIR is virtually flat (I believe it was 0.2% last time I checked). So I am pretty pleased with the #'s.

I know I have some mods on my car....but I really don't want to abuse the clutch and break anything in the rear. I feel that as long as I can prove that I didn't abuse the drivetrain.... I may still have a drivetrain warranty (even if not...I don't want to deal with breaking stuff). I am thinking about getting an LC program that is less aggressive and doesn't abuse the clutch.

Just have them install LC2 or get the cobb Lc2 006 3300rpms.. its pretty non -violent and will put you in the 10's easy...

LC2 006 3300 -should net you 1.6x-1.7x that should be enough for 10.9x

If you break the tranny , they will check the black box and see you were running 17psi ..warranty will be gone either way.

I was thinking that LC2 should do the job to get me into the 10s. I guess it comes down to how the tranny breaks...I have heard of modded GT-R's having warranty work done on broken trannys.

Update

I ran my '09 GT-R at an MIR track rental today. I couldn't resist the urge to do further upgrades. So earlier this week I added downpipes, 2.75" intakes, 1000cc injectors and another custom 93 octane tune. The car only put down a peak SAE corrected 524awhp and 580awtq (uncorrected 531awhp and 587awtq). The thing that you don't see with the peak #'s is how much power it picked up throughout the rev range. Here are the results (Without using Launch Control, just nailing the throttle at idle):

Run #1 (with 1 foot roll-out):
0-60 mph: 2.91s
0-100 mph: 6.52s
0-120 mph: 9.15s
0-130 mph: 10.75s
0-150 mph: 14.92s
60-130 mph: 7.84s
1/4m Timeslip: 10.839 @ 128.47 mph (GPS trap was 130.75mph)

Run #2 (with 1 foot roll-out):
0-60 mph: 2.89s
0-100 mph: 6.48s
0-120 mph: 9.13s
0-130 mph: 10.73s
0-150 mph: 15.07s
60-130 mph: 7.83s
1/4m Timeslip: 10.838 @ 128.41 mph (GPS trap was 130.74mph)

Talk about consistent...

I am really very happy with the 14.92s 0-150mph....especially since I didn't use launch control and MIR has virtually no slope (during the 1/4m it drops 1/2 foot and I believe it was 3 feet over the distance it took to go from about 130-150mph).

One other note... I weighed the car on the way back to the pits right after my first run.... with me in the car (my mom says I am not fat...just big-boned ) and just a hair under 1/2 tank, it tipped the scales at 4,085lbs... so the car must be around 3,850lbs.

1.770 and 1.762. I was shocked that I could leave that hard without building the revs.

I'm going to have to stay out of this forum or I'm going to end up trading in my Exige and overpaying for a GT-R.

I really don't plan on going with bigger turbos...so I really don't think it is all that beneficial to go with the 3" intake. I am a firm believer in "right-sizing" the mods that are actually on the car. It was very important for me to have a lot of low end torque, especially since I never use launch control. I was concerned that the bigger intake would detract from my low RPM power.
