The GTR game is about to get good
I saw a Black Switzer GTR at a track in Michigan last night owned by a Canadian Gentleman. It was moving around on the big end quite a bit a really BAD ****. I think its safe to say AMS has there work cut out for them when Switzer gets the car dialed in.

They have multiple big-power cars they are dialing in now. I'm confident they will be breaking all AMS records soon. Switzer already has the record for the fastest GT-R in the world (249.9 in standing mile in stock gear ratios). The E.T. records are next.

I know they trapped 180, even though the car is still being sorted.

That's movin'. Glad to see another company besides AMS (nothing bad) competing at that level. Crazy that 8-1000 HP GTRs are like a dime a dozen and the real builds are just crazy. Can't wait to see more from them.

No, Not Jamie's car. Jamie's car is Blue and make significantly more power than this one does. This car is a Goliath setup. Same setup that recently set the GT-R standing mile world record of 249.9mph.

Hello everyone,
I wanted to take a few minutes and share an update on StealthJ's Goliath II GTR that we have been testing.
Just yesterday we had one last minute opportunity to jump in on a track rental and wanted to shakedown the car a bit and see how the new revisions to the Goliath package were going to work. The dyno was promising... the car made 1600whp during the calibration rough-in on the dyno.
We got the track and it was pretty cold and damp... 43 degrees and covered in dew. The track guys did a great job at getting things dried out and as soon as things started to warm up we made a couple of easy no-launch partial runs to check logs, etc. We started the testing process on our typical 6 wheel combination with Mickey Thompson ET Streets on 18's in the rear.
We came back around and tried to dial things up a bit and the car just would not get a hold of the track at the higher power levels. It was just too slick. We ran a couple of high spin 8 second runs and then decided that we would take the opportunity to see if a set of slicks would help. We brought them with us, but being the first time we used them, we wanted to make sure Josh was comfortable in the car before giving them a try.
We did a couple of partial runs, pulled logs and made adjustments to take advantage of the tires. Next pass was a 1.34 sixty foot and the car was screaming down the track until a safety trip we had set on the Syvecs shut the car down. When running new cars, we tend to run our protections very tight/conservative on the Syvecs so we can catch anything minor before it becomes major. Remember: this was this car's first time out and it was a fresh build. Other than dyno had never been run full power, full throttle.
Tym is starting to actually feel the itch to do some drag racing again. He was saying that he would be willing to build a more compromised-for-racing car if someone wanted it just to see what our power program could do in a lighter car. Special thanks to Shep for getting us a transmission in time to test this car before the customer had to return home and for pushing forward on the development to make the GR6 more durable at these mega power levels.
8.4 at 180 was a great off the trailer time for such a heavy car, but quite honestly we're disappointed that we couldn't put our best short time with the back half of that first run... it would have been an 8.0 or high 7. Oh well... maybe next time. Would have been really cool to see a full featured GTR with all of its goods run a 7 at this weight! 60-130's were in the 3.0 range on the passes where it hooked up properly but the vbox was on the fritz and we don't think it recorded one of our better runs.
