2014 Black Edition or Wait for the 2015 Models?
I just sold off my Vantage V12 and am looking to purchase a GTR. Before you go into it, yes i know, its a very different car and ride. I live in NYC where the Aston was not meant to live or be used. I feel like I will still get the speed, but in a somewhat more practical car that I wont have to worry about as much.
So I can pick up a brand new 2014 Black Edition for approx $8k off the $109k sticker. Not sure if the refinements to the 2015 models are worth the wait and actual sticker price.
Thoughts?

If you like the redesigned headlights and taillights, then go for it (or you like that new color interior). Some current owners are already trying to get the headlights swapped into their previous model year cars.
Other than that, I don't personally see any other reason to get a 2015 (especially if they happen to have those new wheels on the car - which can be switched out with no cost if you order different wheels).
I'd opt for the 2014 BE. The only 2015 I'd consider is the NISMO.

Some dealers are offering some decent deals on the '14's, getting ready for the '15's that are coming in a few months.

There are lots of gtr 's on ebay for lots less than msrp.
Why wait, there are almost no great changes 14 to 15.
Remember, the be has narrow seats so sit in it, i prefer the premium ..
If your not 5'10 and 155 , seats may not be perfect....... In the be
there is a track edition for 100,00o listed right now.

I know you have more then likely done this but take a long test drive in a GTR before you buy one. I was dead set on getting one and a friend lent me his for a week while he took my old viper. It was not at all what I expected when I was looking into them.

Whoever considers it, I recommend driving one first. The suspension may be a turn-on or turn-off, depending on preference.
But the blue accents may sway one towards it (because of its limited number, kind of the titanium '09s, or the matte gray NISMO).

the base 15 has been changed to a more comfortable/luxurious version while the nismo is obviously the performance version. im curious to see how a newly lux gtr would compare to a bmw m6
I have a 13 and take it into manhattan without issues. I imagine that the more comfortable 15 would be even better but not sure that's necessary. if it was me, I would try for big discount on a 14 rather than pay extra for new one.

In my opinion, the M6 is quite a smooth ride. Surely the performance belongs to the GT-R, but for the daily commute, for those that aren't in need of the additional speed, the M6 would do just fine.

I'd say go with the 14 BE if they are offering a good discount. I visited the local LA dealer last week...they still have 2 2013's and 8 2014's! The lowest they would go on the '13's is invoice, lol. Gotta do better than that!

People who want it, usually want it for exclusivity among an already small niche.
Red interior trim, black wheels, and the wing. Worth $10k? Not for me.

Invoice on a 2013 Premium is somewhere around 89-91K. I realize invoice is usually a good deal...but, considering 2015's are right around the corner I assumed they would want to move them!
