Mount Hamilton
Since it is soooo quiet on the "Norcal" section, I guess I post something.
I went to Santana Row last week but there weren't much action (except for seeing Rex's newly acquired Diablo, gorgeous car!)
This morning, I decided to go see Mount Hamilton (heard much about it, but never been there until today).
My wife and I drove down to San Jose and headed up to MH. The road was a little rough at first but it got better later. The road was quite winding and I was on 2nd gear at most time. It was about 25 miles to get to the summit, where the Lick Observatory is. The weather was clear and we could see quite far away.
A surprise was… there were about 10 Porsche 356s at the observatory. I started talking to them and found that they belong to a 356 Club. My wife and I spent about 45 min. at the summit and decided to drive back on the Livermore side (47 miles).
I didn’t know what to expect but found that the drive was quite fun. Except for a few “cattle guards” and a 9-mile single lane stretch (really needed to pay attention of coming cars, but luckily not too many). Other than those, the drive was full on twists and turns at good speed, and we could go a little faster at some stretches.
Overall, it was a very very fun drive.

Yeah, too bad that I didn't get to my camera until later.
