NCRC is helping convertible be safer on track (even if you don't go to their events!)
Email from the folks at NCRC I received this morning:
...
As you know, NCRC is at the forefront of track safety, and in 2009 implemented a program in which we reimburse you 50% of your costs to increase your safety in a convertible car. While many drivers are taking advantage this very successful program, we recognize that not all open trackers drive with NCRC and therefore are not able to take advantage of this program.
As of March 7, 2011, NCRC has established a fund to financially contribute to the purchase of convertible safety equipment for open track drivers participating in any non-NCRC event at Laguna Seca, Thunderhill, Infineon or Reno-Fernley. This program is separate and additional to the program currently in place for NCRC drivers.
To take advantage of this new program, drivers must register by filling out a Safety Equipment Reimbursement Form (at http://www.ncracing.org/docs/NCRC%20...mbursement.pdf), and provide "proof of entry" receipts for the events in which they participate. For each event attended, drivers will receive a $10 cash reimbursement.
This program is open to anyone, not just NCRC members. Please feel free to forward this to your track friends.
