Every year I put together the biggest car gathering in Northern California. Last year was insane 1,500 cars and roughly 2,000 people. From American Muscle, Import Tuners, and Exotics it was all there. It is going down again this year August 17th 2012 7pm. The location is the most central location for most of the Bay Area.

Meet was moved to the August 10th Friday. Always a large turnout.

Guess this meet didn't turn out well. Meet parking lot was closed.

 

It was not organized at all. Few moved to Target then Lowes. People got pulled over. All bad.

 

not surprised since the organizer can't even get the date right

 

What happened? What were people getting pulled over for? I assume for BS stuff like noise, tinted windows, lowered cars? Come to think of it, this could be a LE technique when they need to meet their ticket quotas.

 

Talked to some folks at Club Auto Sport this morning and they said that the police had the parking lot blocked and when cars started organizing at other locations they shut those down as well. Tickets were being handed out for just about anything and everything including smog and CARB violations. To be honest I think it would be pretty hard to organize something this big under the radar and without the property owners and the police blessing it. The liability alone would make the property owners think twice about it.
