Chubbys is really good, Jon. Best steak bar none is the original Jim's on 62nd street in West Philly. Good pizza by the slice, Lorenzos on SOuth street.
Brick oven pizza - Marra's on Passyunk.
Italian - Ralph's on 9th street.
Hoagie - Cut Above in Newtown Square.
Hoagie - South - White House in Atlantic City.
Mexican - Mesa Grill for take out.
Mexican - Mexican Post - Eat in.
Chinese - Peaking in Granite Run
Chinese - San Pan - Drexel Hill
Chinese - Vietnam - China Town
Best all around restaurnat for a group - Buddakan
Asian Fusion - Nectar - Wayne

Thats what I can think of right now.

Oh yeah,

Monks is sick if you are a German and Belgian beer lover........its a must!!!
Mussels are great there too.

per Jon's list I ate at Red Sombrero on 202 tonight, had a buritto and cheese nachos, it was real good, reasonable price and nice roomy place. Good reccomendation!

has anyone had the cheese steak at Barclay Prime? It's $100 but comes w/ a bottle of bubbly and is for 2? I'm tempted to try it soon!

I think I'm going to do the Barclay Prime thing next year for my 21st.

nice i did it for my 22nd, the best steak i've had and the wine pairing was perfect!

Capital Grill - cold Seafood platter appetizer and filet for dinner.
Borgata - The Old Homestead for a filet.

monk's is good for the mussels, but always crazy/crowded...might want to check out nodding head (same stuff)...

belgian beer...pretty much the same menu except alot less crowded...it's in rittenhouse square...i block north of walnut...near roy's restaurant...sorry forgot the cross street...easily missed b/c it's on the 2nd floor...

pretty sure it's Sansom

They have a new monks up near the Eastern State Pen I think it's 19th and green (or close by) bigger than the original, it's been crowded the couple time i've been in

that's it!!! samson...definitely check it out...it's a bar setting...very casual but very good food
