I have looked at the majority of the hotels in Montreal. I keep getting conflicting data on wither certain hotels are booked or not, so before I begin calling, I need to finalize some numbers.

The following is what I have found:

Criteria:

Close to Track
Close to Downtown
Total hotel stay under $400 a head, not including tax.

All prices are for 1 room w/2 beds; check-in on the 6th (fri) check-out on the 8th (Sun night). We would drive home after the race, Philly eta is midnight.

Hotel Locations-
Within the Pink Circle:

Marriott Chateau Champlain $436
Novotel Montreal $774
Four Points By Sheraton Montreal Do $352

Within the Blue Circle: (seems to be a highly French spoken area)

Hotel Lord Berri $650

If we decide to drop the first two criteria, then we have many, many more options.

I am not sure about the cancelation policy at each hotel, but I would rather have a target for me to call.

are those prices per room or per bed? if the rooms have 2 beds I really don't have an issue sharing a room (not a bed you sickos) so I'm sure that would cut costs in half.

Ya, I will share a room, but not a bed. If everyone wants their own room, I can look into that too.

The prices are for 1 room, with 2 beds, for 2 nights. IE 4 Points Sheraton would cost $176 and the Novotel would be $387 per person.

If anyone else wants to do some work, search:

GTAhotels.com
Kayak.com (awesome site)

Ok I am in. I don't really care about the hotel. The weekend is about F1 racing, Girls, and lots and lots of beer. So where I sleep is no biggie because I doubt we will really be sober! I'm down for sharing a room.

BINGO. But I'll take gin and tonics in place of beer!
