Philly Marathon/Rothman 8K today...RESULTS
6 Speeders,
Ok, so today was the Philly Marathon/Half Marathon/Rothman 8k and man what a blast it was.
Up at 530am, it was 25 degrees, on the course and running by 7:15am. The Rocky Soundtrack was blasting all over the course as we ran past the Art Museum and Boat House Row - VERY cool vibe indeed.
So when it was all over, i finished 418th out of over 4,000 participants in the Rothman 8k. My official time was 44:30. This was an exact time from a chip that we all attached to our shoes prior to the race. So my average mile was around 8:54 which is faster than i normally run so I am STOKED!
After the race, straight to Marathon on the Square in Rittenhouse for a massive breakfast and numerous bloody marys - followed by a day of drinking beers and hatin on the Eagles at Smiths on 19th street.
All in All, a GREAT DAY!!!
Next Mission = Broad Street Run - 10 miles - May 2009 -Whos with me?!?!?!?!?!!?
