LOL! No, the "wife bank" has been seriously overdrawn. Need to earn some big points.

I think sometimes that Valentine's Day dinner is probably the worst night of the year to go out. I've been to the Salish Lodge, and other upscale restaurants and paid top-dollar for mediocre food and mediocre (or worse) service. They're just swamped, and everything suffers. I think that the best Valentine dinner is probably (if you have some culinary skillz) to cook her a dinner accompanied by some fantastic wine (that isn't marked up 150%) and then (and this is probably the most important part) do the washing up/cleaning afterwards LOL

To me, Valentine’s Day is overrated. What makes it different than any other day? I do special things for my wife all the time. I don't need a holiday for that. Now if you got engaged or married on that day, then it's a different story. I'm telling you, it's a scam by the card companys and the flower companies.

I agree with you 100%. We used to go out to all these hypes restaurants every other weekend. But now we try not eat out but start eating healthy. And the only way to that is to cook at home with the freshest ingredients we get our hands on.
You know what, I will take your advice for this year and surprised her with my culinary talents I 've been hiding all these years.

I don't buy flowers I grow them for my wife with organic soil and green house. So she can enjoy them all year round.

Brave Man....
I am always in awe at my wife's work day.
And spoiled by the fact that I get to come home for play-time, while she deals with all the tantrums and growing pains.

I'm with Dave on this one. JoAnn and i essentially ignore valentines day. i'll probably get her a card, maybe some flowers, but we both tend to blow it off. i'm taking her to Hawaii next week. That should count right?

So I guess ordering out pizza doesn't count??
The washing up/cleaning is about all I can handle.
