Bojan,

Oh no, I sold the M5 over a year ago along with my MINI Cooper S. I sold it when I made the decision to get the TT. I haven't looked back since.

But if you take a normal sized person with some driving skills and put them in it then who knows what it would run.

I = 2.3 normal sized men
That means you are probably running around a 12.5 or so which is awesome no matter what car. This is the great thing about american cars such as the camaro and mustang...they can be easily modded for next to nothing and gain a ton of power.

I got the email, GRACIAS. I'm in.., I'll take Bruce (CTT). Had to name the cars now.., can't just say porsche. The 996TT is now called Sally. You have the girlfriend to thank for that.

So yeah, maybe Bruce will show up. If its sunny though.., Sally is ready to be exposed and driven hard

This is a funny thread to read... though it was a bit too long for my ADD. You have one side complaining, another defending, the other being in the offensive mode, while the other is figuring out if they should switch from zone coverage to man-to-man. This has all the excitement of a sporting event. Next time there is an event.., I want to join.

By the way, Mitchel love the M3. I had a 96 or 97 (can’t remember now) helrot M3 two door.. (sick color) had it for 1 hour before it was slammed into a tree and totaled on a 25mph turn that I took a little bit faster. It was the first time I drove rear wheel drive and I took off the traction control. Sad part is, it was the only tree there and it wanted me. Got a 97 4 door M3 afterwards.., one of my favorite cars to date.

Anyways, get back to *****ing guys. Its entertaining and I have nothing better to do today.

Jason, do you still have the E39 M5? I saw a guy selling my old white E39 M5 recently.. Supposedly added some Dinan stuff to it. Strange though, cause the mileage is the same as when I sold it. Don’t know if he drove it or not.., or changed the instrument cluster cause its been over 3 years since I traded it in.

Thanks man, If you ever feel like "kicking it old school", let me know. I'd be happy to let you open it up.

I could have gone to an E46 M3 a long time ago, but this car has been so good to me and so much fun, I don't think I could stomach getting rid of it.

Ah, your a local boy. I'm in Canyon Park, meeting up would be fun.

I also wanted an E46 forever, but then stepped up to the E39. My cousin had an E46 M3.. thing was pretty wicked. Silver, slammed w/ coilovers on HRE's. Think it had a straight pipe for the exhaust, obnoxious but fun. But yeah, the E36 M3 was the car. I remember all the Car & Driver, Motor Trend magazines praising it as the best handling car at the time. I think even ferarri and porsche were mentioned. Sounds far fetched, but the thing does handle like its on rails.

Yup the e36 was named at that time the best handling car in existence. It surpassed the F355, viper, nsx, etc.

Yeah, I was guessing 12.5ish

I trapped 109mph in it with just the gears and the tune but I couldnt get it to hook that night and pulled a 2.3 60ft time which is obviously complete garbage.

It puts 340whp/355wtq with its current setup and thats going through the T56 6 Speed and 4.10 geared rearend.

It is considered sort of a factory freak....I dyno'd more than other cars with similar mods on the same kind of dyno.

Either way, gotta love the LS1 motor.

And, I seriously weigh 200-220lbs more than an average sized guy of my age so that would shave another 2-2.5 tenths off the 1/4 mile time

Ninja edit: I have about $800 invested in performance mods since purchasing the car. I got a deal on the exhaust and the lid.

Do you have more now than the gears and the tune? If so (which sounds like it) you whould be trapping around 114 I am guessing.

Yeah, I trapped 109mph with just gears and tune.

I now also have Random Technology Hiflow cats that have been gutted, Random Tech Hiflow Y-pipe, Hooker Street Force Cat-back, and a MTi lid which is like cold air intake for the F-bodies. There are also some "free" mods that I've done which opens up the Ram Air setup more and increases the topend power.

I didn't dyno it before all the mods, but I was probably putting down around 315-320whp and 330-335wtq when I trapped 109mph. So, add on 20-25whp and 20-25wtq if not more with all the stuff I added.

I have a dyno sheet for 334whp/350wtq but I've added the lid and the free mods since then so I'm guesstimating 340whp/355wtq

That's the point, wasn't welcome in the first place. Besides, you're specifically exluding me now because I disagree with you on your treatment of a fellow 6 speeder and I? Okay. I see how you are.

You guys are going to just have to respect the wishes of the member arranging the drive. If you want to make your own drive and exclude them, that's your right.

Please don't keep posting gripes about this here.

Thank you.
