Where Has Mitchel Been?

I'll share my own experience of something similar, unsolicited I know.
But, one of the best things that ever happened in my career was getting fired from my first job. Only in retrospect was it a wretched job, and even though very unhappy in the position, I had no plans to leave. After a quick summer job, I eventually landed a position in a completely new direction that allowed me to earn significantly more, much easier ... but most importantly of all ... showed me that a job could be a rewarding and fulfilling experience ... and [gasp] enjoyable.
I'm not sure whether there is a God or not, but I do believe in Karma. Maybe they're mutually exclusive ideas, or maybe they're one and the same. Regardless, I believe sometimes things happen for a reason.
Nowhere on the 'net has this been so perfectly encapsulated by Steve Jobs' commencement address for Harvard in 2005. This is one of the finest speeches I have ever heard; inspirational, funny, thought-provoking, sad and immensely uplifting. Watch it now if you haven't already seen it:

You may not know now how "the dots are connected", but maybe in 10 or 20 years time you may be able to look back at this moment and be able to breathe a sigh of relief and acknowledge that this was one of the best things to ever happen to you...

I Just accepted a job at a company called "Azaleos". It pays a little less per year, but they have pretty big stock options to make up the difference. It's a great company with a lot of room for growth. I've been following for 2 years now and more on track with where I want to go.
All in all, a VERY good move and right on track with what Alex (Schnazzy) was recommending that I do.

They manage and install MS exchange and manage it remotely. I'll be monitoring all sites after hours, finding bugs, fixing them and routing issues out of my scope to the responsible department.
They have a really cool office on Lake Union and a nice/laid back environment.

LOL,
This is basically going to throw me under the bus in a good way, The majority of my experience with exchange is with 2007. I'm pretty damn savvy with powershell, but I've really only done administrative crap with it, never a full deployment start to finish etc etc. A lot of ghost hunting etc. Making free/busy work with office 2003 was a pain, as was the GAL, but my old boss was certifiably retarded (he went with exchange 2007 upon release and didn't wait for SP1...nuff said).

You'll be fine.
The deployment is pretty straight forward.
But the real question is, did you find any ghosts?
Did you see dead people ?

If you get stuck let me know, I've worked with it for a "few" years. The hardest part will be forgetting what you can do with 07, & focus on what can be done on 03. Really it chugs along pretty well for a MS product.
