Some of you already know, but I left Western Peterbilt on the 17th of March ( I was their System Administrator and 1 of 2 people on the IT team supporting 4 states, 17 locations and 500 end users). Why? Long story short, **** happens when you find Dog on Child **** on your VP's computer...the same VP who's been with the company for 30 years and is still the CPA and long time friend/associate of the chairman of the board. It was a downhill battle once I turned him into the SPD, as they kicked down his door a week later and seized everything classifiable as a "Computer" in his house (even his cell phone and PDA).

Needless to say, It was far beyond a "hostile work environment" and Technically, I was let go for "Seeking Employment Elseware", but that was just an excuse.

To this day, I still get a few calls a week from former co-workers asking for help. Which is hard because I had a VERY good working rapport with 497 of the company's employees. Lots of friendships.

So now, I'm biding my time. Fortunately, I'm not one of the 90% of America who is 2 paychecks away from Poverty, so I'm not looking for a "Job", I'm looking for a place to continue on with my career and with plenty of room for growth. I'm not going to get back into a dead end job ever again.

In the interim, I've been working on my car and friends cars as always just to keep busy.

Since March, I've completely redone my brakes, replaced nearly every rubber bushing with urethane, installed a new intake manifold (that was a ordeal!), installed a new diff in my car (went from a 3.23LSD to a 3.73LSD) and cut out my cats and welded them back up, as well as changing all of my fluids with redline synthetic.

Next up is Head Gasket, radiator, engine fan delete/spal fan install. Then I'm done modding my car for the time being and the rest of my car funds will go towards upgrading the madman behind the wheel. The car runs and handles too well to only drive on the street. I'm also switching over to Progressive insurance from Safeco, now Liberty Mutual, so I'll be covered if I pull a PJ and go off the track

I've also had 2 M3's on jackstands in my garage working on them as well a few weeks ago, 2 at once...

When there's nothing to do with the cars, I've been doing a lot of yardwork...I am public enemy number 1 to dandylions.

I also cancelled my comcast internet and cable, simply so I don't sit around the house all day, so I only check forums briefly at Internet Cafe's, which is why you all haven't heard from me much. Some times I have to protect myself from myself.

All in all, I've been keeping busy until I find the next step in my career.

I haven't gone all reclusive and emo, I've been doing the exact opposite, I've got an awesome farmers tan going on and I've been out and about!

That's where I've been =)

PS, for those saying "Wow, I don't believe that he found that **** on a VP's computer"...observe (just file listings, nothing more, no visuals). This is only a small portion of what he had on his computer, he had over 20gb of questionable material on his PC (in Mark terms...a **** ton).

 

You did what you had to do. And it was a right thing to do. I commend you for that. One less pedophile to worry about..

i'm very happy for you that you're outta that nasty work place. life is too short to be somewhere that you're not happy. every place will have it's fair share of goods and bads, but when the bads out weigh the goods, it's time to go.

He wasn't put away, but he has the fear of god in him now. SPD let him off, because and I quote "The People in his movies and pictures have discernable pubic hair and they can not say without a shadow of a doubt that they are under the age of 18", even though the title and file name of the video's are like "German Shepard on 14 year old boy". So basically, if it's questionable material and they have pubic hair, they can't/won't do anything unless they display the child's drivers license or social security card after the movie to validate the age.

If they really wanted to put stop child pornography and child molestation, they'd start executing the convicted. But apparently they think they can put people in a cell for 5 years, council them and some how, they're magically unattracted to the people they were attracted to prior to being incarcerated.
