Sadly, I'm now out too 
Since I start a long break from work the following week, and have to take a day to head up to Canada next week, I can't manage to get this Friday off as well. Sorry guys, was looking forward to driving with you all.

Many of you don't know that I sit on the Board of Directors at PAWS (Progressive Animal Welfare Society). http://ww.paws.org. Anyway, we have two major fundraising events each year, PAWSWalk and WildNight. PAWSWalk is coming up on Sept 6 in Magnuson Park. If I wasn't the best man in my best friend's wedding on the same day in Los Angeles, of course I'd be in attendance.
I know that most of you, if you're like me, don't like solicitations...you have your charities that you donate to and you don't like getting pitched on anything else.
So, all I'm going to say is this...
...if you care about animals, both domestic and wild...PAWS is one of, if not the, best animal welfare and advocacy organizations in the Northwest. If you feel so inclined, please come up to me on Friday and donate anything you feel comfortable giving. Put it in an envelope with your name (no other info needed) so I can keep track and issue appropriate thanks. You guys can trust that I won't pocket your donations and run for the border
