there is a car show Downtown magnolia town center..i will get info for it
Mark...thank you for setting it up and for buying everyone ice cream!! that was awesome.
Some people need to remember to drive within their means and not try and "keep up". if you are doing more that 60-70% you need to slow down and stay out of the way of other people. You will hurt yourself, and worse you will hurt someone else. This isn't a game of everyone trying to stay up with a Carerra GT, Ford Gt, and Mark (who raced cars for years) on mountain roads. Always drive within your own ability and pass in a smart way. I really don't want to see someone rolled over like the SUV we saw on the way home because you thought you can hang with someone else. Please always use your head on the road.
At the end of the day we had an amazing time and alot of great memories!! Thank you to everyone and look forward to next time.

WSP taking advantage of you even though you weren't speeding. Really chaps me. At the end of the day at least you can tell people that you weren't pulled over like Mark doing 8 mph still in town. Talk about No bragging rights. I guess my car really does look fast going slow
What really upsets me is the number of cars the WSP dispatched to scold us miscreants. I saw at least 3 marked cars and about 5 unmarked cars. On my first pull over I had 3 cars behind me. I guess they thought I might give them some trouble. On the second pull over it only took one. Apparently the main dispatcher hadn't canceled the APB yet on my car.
I think I'll be driving the Audi for awhile until the heats off.

Does this mean you're going to drive the Audi on the tour next week too?
I'm sticking with the Audi too. I've always heard rumors that the WSP was being overzealaous in their attempts to rein in unsuspecting speeders but to experience it firsthand also upsets me as well. I didn't have multiple cruisers behind me but the officer was extremely rude/brusque with me.

^^ When did this happen? Was it after you guys fell back behind me? I set myself on 71mph cruise control the rest of the way down I-90 & I saw many WSP cars on the side of the road. I guess I got lucky that I'm not in a Porsche! I noticed the first unmarked cop was cruising behind you guys from the Pass for a while, then he pulled off the road, waited for all of us to pass, and got back on the road. Was probably hoping you guys would think he's gone and start speeding.

Thanks Mark!!!
Ice Cream was great, and thanks for tips on staying in the area sometime. Cecilia and I will likely follow through on that next summer.
I hope everyone made it home ok. I did see one roll over on the way home but we're glad it wasn't any of us.
PJ didn't get to chat with you, but lets catch up on Tuesday at PR.
cheers,
Trevor

To all: great day
thank you mark for the effort and the ice cream!
My highlights of the day -- Blewitt pass was off the chain (did I use that phrase properly? I think so) and on the east side of darrington, tearing it up with Omeed and Igor... somehow it ended up being just the two of us for a while...
Great to see all of you...
When is the next one? (not Hummm3's multiple day journey -- I wish)

Thanks Mark for the invite. Ice cream was great. Drive was lots of fun. All in all a great day!
Took off early to play some B-ball. On the way back, WSP where waiting in numbers. Two escorted me from the Falls all the way into Mercer Island. I guess the ugly front plate worked this time.

Thanks Steve for making it out, the F40 is always a crowd pleaser (and, despite the lack of comfort compared to your QP, I think you'll agree it added a certain, as the French say--"I don't know what", to the drive). Sorry for the mixup -- Winthrop/Leavenworth adding quite a big difference to the drive-time and forcing an early departure.
We went home a different route "the path less travelled", and I'm glad we did after reading about "APBs" and the WaSPs getting their knickers-in-a-twist. I avoided all contact with revenue-enforcement department of the state thankfully. The money saved there, plus about $1500 should be sufficient to get the necessary bumper repainted. I have about 80 rock chips "war wounds".
We went to Wenatchee "The ******" as Tom likes to call it, via Entiat. Then on to Leavenworth via hwy 2. Now comes the fun part, we took a right onto 209 "Chuckumstuckem Hwy" (or summat like that). Someone told me this road to "Plain" was anything but. He were right. Dispatching early dawlders highly recommend before the twisties. Then the fun started. OMFG the road is amazing. I love it when my hands get crossed over the steering wheel, the IP displays "RACE", the top's down, the sun is shining and I'm feeding in as much throttle as I dare. You know you've hit a corner just right when you hear the skid-plate touch asphalt. Lots of elevation changes on that circuit too. Highly recommended. After we got through the town of Plain, we had to wait a little while for a cleanup after a gravel truck had managed to put itself on its side, making a wee bit of a mess. Strangely this happened on just about the straightest part of the road. Hopped back on hwy-2 to Monroe and home. Didn't see one cop the whole way back (they must've been too busy with youseguys!).
Another highlight of the trip was going up-hill at an alleged buck-thirty and having Ben pass me in the Carrera GT. The sound of that machine at WOT with straight pipes as it snarled and farted past me was sublime.
Oh, and whomever thought that straight-pipes on an NSX was a good idea ... it's not. Trust me on this.

Great day, great fun!! Sounds like it's a good thing I had to leave early, the DB9 caught up with me about 30mi out.
Can't wait to do it all again. Maybe we should break up into smaller groups, so we are not noticeable.

i left a little early to get some roads to myself, but then there was so much traffic ahead it wasnt worth trying to pass people anymore
