Guys I also love movies, & have a good home Theater, 65in HD, THX 7.1 surround, Infinity speakers (4 are bi-amped & subbed) Blue-ray, & even HD-DVD with about 800 DVD's. Yes, some times, watching at home is better then then going out. But it's a lot more fun to go out to dinner, then catch a movie. You also miss the other people around out, a movie can be much better when everyone around you gets into the flick.

$70 + drinks for 2? yea, that is pushing it. But $50 for 2 with drinks is doable. Sarah wants to check out Gold Class, but it's something we need to plan, as it's over an hour drive with no traffic. The one in Gig Harbor is less then 10min form the house.

I'm addicted to my home set-up. Blu-Ray, 60" HDTV, speakers to rival most theaters, and the beer fridge in the room is close enough to reach from the south side of the couch.

Movies in the theater always end up bugging me. Even at $30 for two, I'd rather watch it at home as often as I'd like that put up with the theater experience.

^^^ Agree, we have the new PlayStation Blu Ray, 60"plasma HDTV, and a leather couch where each end turns into a barkalounge (leg rests kick out). Hard to enjoy the theater anymore!

I have heard that the PS3 is a really good Blu Ray player, is it true?

It does an amazing job. The DVD upscaling is top notch as well.

^^^My son told us it is the best blu-ray technology by far on the market. We love it - amazing detail (and you can play games!)

^^^Love mine so much I bought a second one for the other room, and had the first one color matched.

I just can't see paying the same (or similar) dollars for another player that has nothing more to offer without the game system/web browser. You can download movies in HD on it...

Greta my couch does the same thing, but two of the three sections kick out, and the third one is longer (almost a chaise lounge) and comfy.

Thanks! I've been waiting on the Blu-Ray wanting to make sure it was going to stick around as I was sure HD DVDs would win out . . . but i was wrong.

PS3 it is!
