The Official NW 6 Speed Lunch Thread

As much as I'd like to join in on this conversation, I think I'll just read..
On another note...Mark & Jody, let me know if we do a Kirkland lunch and I'll be there too! (hopefully not the week of 5/18 because I am out of town again). Never been to Katy Downs but will go some weekend. Sounds good.

funny quick story - my mom just went through the breast cancer ordeal. she has an amazing sense of humor like the rest of us. so when she was in the hospital for the treatments & whatnot, we had a huge publishers-clearing-house-style check made up for her - had to be like 5-6 feet long. it said "Hooters" in the top left corner and in the for line it said "a new rack", and we made it for "a Gajabillion dollars".
so carrying the check through the cancer ward at the hospital drew some stares

aww! that's cute! you're mom sounds like a really cool lady! you guys sound like you have a fun relationship! i do with my mom and dad too. everytime we drive by the "breast center" my dad swears he wants me to pull in and pick him up an application!
i hope your mom is recovering well! i wish the best for her!
ps....you should bring her out to an event some time! =)

thanks for the kind words. my mom rocks for sure. she's 100% better now, and coincidentally enough, she's more active & healthy now than she's ever been. (that whole "sense of one's own mortality" thing you get when you get cancer. )
anyway, for the non-believers:
i blacked out my face for security.
and i'll stop poluting your thread with cancer speak now. i'll see you guys at the next lunch you do up here.

no dress code for Katie Downs but I didn't mention
Katie Downs is a BAR no one under 21 years old.
I'm only saying this because because I'm really old now. 40 in July.
Pocket Hercules seems younger to me.
I hope I'm incorrect and he's in his 20's but thought I'd throw this out there.
