Cars....Yes! Cars on the PR go-kart track! (aftermath pics!)
This was the event organized by Chris aka: HexAngel. They rented the go-kart track out for the day and everyone took their ride out for a day on the track.
Thanks for organizing this event! Next time this comes around, I'm definately in! Todd still has a smile plastered on his face! He says it was like autox, but 100X better! There was everything there ranging from Boxster's, NSX's, GTR's, Lotus, S2000's, and more!
Peter was out there in his Lotus and took Todd for a spin in it and did a very impressive 180 coming around the corner. Then, Todd returned the favor and took Peter for a spin. It was uneventful. No spins! He says some Rcompounds are next on his list!
Here are the pictures they took:

I can't thank everybody who was there enough for making it all go so smoothly. Bill (the marshal at track entrance) did the lion's share of the work in the morning but everybody helped out and the entire day was trouble-free. I had no time to take photos but I did get one or two videos; I'll post them as soon as they're up on the 'tube.
Curses to that damn GTR for being so ridiculously fast!

Chris,
Thanks for organizing this event. I always wondered what the rev-limited was. Today, I discovered it at approx. 75mph in 2nd gear. whoops!
Peter,
Thanks for the ride in your Lotus. Don't let Jody drive it, she'll want one!
Thanks again for the great day, guys!

Here's a gallery of the pictures Arnon and Vince took with Dirk's camera:
http://marvinalone.com/gallery/v/was...ix/2009-07-07/
There are hundreds of pictures in there ... a few highlights:
The Drivers' Meeting
First Cars on Track
In the Paddock
... and lots and lots and lots and lots of great pictures of cars zooming around the track. There are sequences of car after car passing the same spot: start/finish line, turn 1 braking zone, track exit, one of the chicanes, etc. Very nice. If I get the time I'm going to cull it down to the 25 or so best pictures and about 10 collages, write up captions, and make a coffee-table book out of it.

This is our highly accurate track map, adapted from an aerial photograph:
North is on the Left, of course. I think the track is 0.8 miles long. (Can't find stats on the PGP website just now.)
