17th annual Italian Concours
Hi folks. Long time lurker here at 6Speed, and Tommy_James finally talked me into joining! I've met a lot of you at the Exotics @ RTC and other events around the area.
Just wanted to extend the invitation to all of you to attend the 17th Annual Italian Concours down in Des Moines in less than a month!!! Sunday, Sept. 6th @ the Des Moines Marina. For those of you have never attended, we have about 150 Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Alfa, Ducati, FIAT, Lancia's, etc that show up.
This year we are featuring "Competition" vehicles and will have in attendace the following (amoung others):
1957 Ferrari 250TR (this is the Prototype, owned by a local collector)
1947 Ferrari 166 Spider Corsa (owned by another NW collector)
1962 Alfa Giulietta SZ Zagato (raced in the 1963 24 Hours of LeMans)
1996 Lamborghini Diablo SV-R (Stars & Stripes)
1955 OSCA
Ducati Factory Race Bike
Hope to see you all there! If you have an Italian vehicle that you would like to show, feel free to visit our website and download the entrant form.

Once again we are having the "Make-A-Wish" raffle, where 100% of the proceeds go to this fine organization. And, we have also secured a 2009 Buddy 50cc Scooter as the top prize!

I have an Italian road bike (pedal powered), will that count?
Just kidding, I'll try to make it this year. I'm tentatively set to be out of town that weekend but we'll see. I went last year and got some great shots!

We'd love to have it!!!! We haven't had Italian bikes at the show (except mine) for some time! Italian Bicycle registration is only $10.00!
Here was a shot from 2003 when the Italian Concours was down at the Pier. This guy had quite the display!

I'll be there, definitely!! It'll be my dose of Italy for September since I'll be missing the OC event..
Btw, not a fan of the "Women Only" link on the site. Was expecting to find a "Ladies drink for free" invitation of sorts but instead sadly found stereotypes re-told. (what, me? double standards? ;P)
