Anyone going to the PCA track day at Pacific Raceways this Thursday 4/29? I'll be there and I sure am hoping for decent weather...

Can't believe its that time again. I'll be there (run group C). It looks like it'll be a bit of sun with maybe a few showers. Typical spring day. Hopefully we get a couple of dry sessions.

Cool. Weather is looking *not so bad*. Let's keep our fingers crossed. Looking forward to it. Although I have done many track days, this is my first PCA event.

See you guys in the morning.

What are the PCA rules on 'verts? Can't make it this time (no job = no track) but I'd like to know for next time around (or the time after that...). Roll "hoops" on a Viper are for decoration & I'm not about to spend $2-5k on bars &/or a hardtop for a couple track days per year. How do the 911 cab's get around this?

This is from the PCA NW concerning rollover protection:

Additional roll-over protection is required for vehicles without stock protection from the manufacturer. This is an issue mostly with cabriolets not having pop-up roll hoops, e.g. 993 cabriolets require additional protection but 996 cabs and Boxsters do not.

What a great day it was yesterday! The weather help up and it was actually very sunny in the pm. I had a blast. Very nice and well organized event. Nice meeting you Steve!
I am signed up for the next PCA and BMW days in May. Looking forward to heading back to the big track.

Jody, nice seeing you earlier this year as well. I will try to make it back to E@RTC. soon. I always enjoy myself there.
