PGP Track Day 22 Sept

As I alluded to in the other thread I wanted to post the details here.

We are doing a day at PGP with Cars. Karts are not likely but we'll see. Depends on interest. Here's the 5 w's

What: PGP Track day
Who: You, your car, no experience required
When: 8am on the 22nd of Sept.
Where: PGP which is at Pacific Raceways on the right as you drive in.
Why: because we can, it's fun and great people.

To address a few other logistics, send an email b sunday evening to cobb.trevor@gmail.com with the following:

Your Name
Car your likely bringing
Rough guess on experience level (Dicky Speedmaster is not authorized)

I'll take that and toss it into a spreadsheet to Paul. We'll give some thought to run groups and we'll be flexible the day of.

You'll pay at the door, because I'm a banker and as we've all learned in the previous/current financial crisis, a banker is the last person you should give your money to!

So $100 at the door. If you want to do a shorter day, just talk to Paul. Not sure if he'll do it, but he might. If you plan on doing an afternoon, or morning, post up here and the two of you can probably talk to Paul together.

Got questions, post em up or hit me in email. I only check in the evenings, so text or work email works well too, if you have that.

Trevor

edit: first come first served, we have 11 spots filled so 15-20 left.

Karts are not likely and depend on interest. If we can get a run group together in all karts, we might have something.

Will your car insurance still cover your car if you're on a track? For example, in the unlikely scenario that your car flips, still insured?

So far I have had one person email me saying that they will be there and are interested in doing karts. I think there is more interest?

Insurance, V is correct. In fact the right/best way to look at it, is your insurance basicially ends when you turn off the highway. That said, you're far more likely to destroy your car into little bits leaving your driveway, than at this track.

I'm surprised Peter hasn't posted up yet.

Update: I've been talking with Paul, so any interest in Karts is important. He needs to update his crew and adjust somethings (I don't know what). I only know of one person that will be there on the 22nd and wants to drive karts.
