Learn to Ski/Snowboard Day?

I have seen a few people mention skiing here. I have never been in my life and was thinking it might be funt to take the family up and give it a try.
Can someone suggest a good way of going about this? My wife and I, and our 3 year old. Our 3 year old is very coordinated and up for trying anything. Would like lessons and some time to give it a try.
Anyone?
Thank you
Tony

Most ski resorts do a good job of giving lessons. I took a couple when I started skiing years ago (in Alaska @ Alyeska) and then learned more on my own after that. I haven't been in years though so others might have good local recommendations.

I would recommend joining the Mountaineers and signing up for lessons at their lodge near Snoqualmie pass. They're very family oriented, and also very affordable compared to what you would end up paying at a typical ski area over the course of a season. Their kids program is very popular.

+1 on going with a ski school for all of you.

The ski schools do a great job with kids too, especially with a 3 year old.
