Dirt Fish
Anyone been to Dirt Fish Rally school in Snoqualimie? I just finished their 1 day course and I got to throw around a Group P Rally WRX STi around their rally course for a few hours, with an instructor coaching me the entire time and it was awesome.
Driving a car/kart fast on tarmac is one thing, but I quickly found out that driving a car on gravel/mud/water requires a counter-intuitive style from what I am used to. The same weight tranfer/trail braking rules apply, however flicking the steering wheel 20 feet before a hard 90 degree turn at 50MPH to get the car into a slide while left foot braking and tyring to line the car up in a straight line for the next turn took some getting used to. But once you are able to link the turns in their circuit, HOLY CRAP - it was additcting. More so than any karting or road course that I have been on.
Anyway, I only took a few pics (a few high res action pics will be coming later). but here are our cars:
Our cars:
A Group N car in their shop that can be used in their 3 day course:
And while I am waiting for the high-res action/course shots, here is a quick vid of what we did:

If any of you want to learn some rally techniques, I highly recommend this place.

DirtFish is awesome! I took both their 1 day course and 3 day course last year and had a blast! Even the idea of "having fun" with those guys is an understatement. These guys really know how to show a good time. Did you get to ride a hot lap with any of the guys?

Yeah, that was the most humbling moment of the day....just when you think you have the art of car control down, they take you for the hot lap....and make you feel like an amature once again!

Old thread I know, but I recently got to do their half day class (as a birthday gift from my wife) and it was a terrific time! I highly recommend checking them out, and I do agree that it was addictive and highly entertaining!
