Nice install! I just had a 9500ci installed in my 997TT by Benchmark and they also did very nice work. Display in the mirror, control unit in the ashtray, rear diffuser flushed into top of license plate. Haven't really had a chance to play with it yet though. Gotta get my laptop out into the garage and update it!

Very nice car and install, I spoke to them today and I plan on getting the same system installed on my Turbo.

Hey Peter,

I have the same Escort radar/laser system installed in my Jaguar XKR (actually done by your shop (Systems Unltd)!) and I really love it. I can't promise that I like to drive the speed limit so it's nice to have the Escort system installed to keep me out of trouble.

Every so often I'll drive by something and the Escort display will say "Stored". Do you know what this is? So far it's been working great and since my display was installed into my dash as a custom piece it's right in my face and I can see at any given time what the alert is on the system. Haven't seen much activity on it (no false alerts) but the past couple of weeks I think the WSP is out in full force and stopping people left and right and my system has been going off quite a bit more. Are you still enjoying your install?

I really don't know why high-end cars like ours don't come with these systems pre-installed. At least we're lucky enough to have a local shop that makes the install appear that it's from the factory.

Have a great holiday everyone!!

Sandy

Stored means that whatever set off the radar detector has been "stored" as a false alarm checkpoint. Did you push the "mute" button twice because that's when it stores the location checkpoint. Read your manual and it'll explain all.

Too lazy to check the manual!! Actually it just happens on it's own and not when I push the mute button. I had a previous Escort system (just the portable one) so I'm familiar with the system which is why I was surprised when it appears to be storing things on it's own.

Hmm...

Shoot - okay the last two are appearing upside down (thanks iPhone). Just copy the pic to your computer and rotate to get the proper perspective. Looks good, eh?

Yes, if you drive past one checkpoint several times and the system notices that its being set off at that exact same spot multiple times then it'd automatically store that as a false alarm point.
