Seattle's the place to see the latest Boeing models in the sky, and now on the street.
In recognition of its partnership with Boeing on advanced materials such as the carbon fiber used in the 787 Dreamliner, Lamborghini today is unveiling a one-of-a-kind Aventador LP 700-4 with a swoopy, blue and white Dreamliner-esque color scheme.
Lamborghini is showing the "Boeing edition" Aventador at the Aerospace & Defense Supplier Summit at the convention center in Seattle.
Carbon-fiber components of the $370,000, V-12 Aventador were developed at the advanced composite structures laboratory at the University of Washington that's sponsored by Lamborghini and Boeing.
The car may remain in Seattle and perhaps be used for 787 delivery events, according to Paolo Feraboli, lab director and UW assistant professor.
