I was enamored by the interior materials of the Maclaren MP4-12c when I got to see one at E@RTC a few weeks ago. I would like to know what the mesh material is called in this photo:

McLaren calls the mesh material "Space Fabric"

 

I guess you have to go out to space to get it. hahaha I kid I kid but I wounder if its like a foam.

 

I would like to go into outer space....
Does anyone have any ideas as to where to find material like this or find materials of a similar type?

 

Hey.. I shot an email to one of the owners of Hoglund's here in Everett.. He might be of some help. I'll reply with any findings, I'm sure he will find something.

I am always brainstorming ideas and this fabric would be fun to work with.

 

I've got a McLaren dealership close by, do you need some closeup photos of the material?

 

Macro shots would be great if you are there to take them. I am hoping the McLaren comes out one of these Saturdays again.
