Ridge Motorsport
Hi Guys,
Just want to share my experience at Ridge Motorsport with you guys. My friend and I book the High Performance Driving Experience for Friday, April 26.
Have never been to the track in Shelton and from the videos, the track looked really cool with some blind turns and elevation changes. This would also be the first time for my bone stock 2007 C4S to go to a real track.
I hired a coach for the first hour who really helped me with the blind corners. Without these tips, such as what references to look for, it would be so much harder to learn the track. Highly recommended for someone who already has some track experience but has never been to this new track.
The track has a pretty good rhythm to it once you get used to it. What I found the most challenging is with down shifting on some hard braking. Heel and toe works fine most of the time but sometimes, due to g forces, my foot did not land on the same spot on the brake pedal and hence didn't hit the gas pedal the same way. Need more practice I guess.
There are other issues to improve on of course. All in all, I was pretty happy with a best lap of 2:06 considering this was the first time out. My car, although bone stock, performed flawlessly. Oil and water temperature, brake feel, oil pressure, etc, were all normal like always. It really was a GREAT car!
You can see my 2:06 lap here
.
Cheers.

The practicality of your M3 is incredible! Hope to see you on the track again.

The combination of 9, 10 and 11 was great and it had a lot of speed. I was doing over 80mph through 10 and approaching 11 at faster speed still. Any mental lapses would cause you to go off for sure.
Cheers.
