Lowered 911 on island Ferry??

Happy Memorial Day everyone! I'm heading to Orcas (never been to any San Juan Island) with the wife (no kids) for our 10-year anniversary. Pretty excited. Anyway, just wanted to know if any of you have taken your lowered 911s on the ferry? My wife wants to take it but I have no idea of ground clearance getting onto and off the boat. Also, didn't know if the roads on Orcas were good for lowered cars. Thanks for the info!

It all depends on the tides. I have been on the ferry where the ramp is perfectly flat and got my lowered car on with no problem. On my most recent trip, I will lucky to be in my Bronco, the tide was at a very high level and it was a big step up to get onto the deck. I know my car would not have made it.

Good info. Somebody just posted the same thing on the Porsche FB group.

slowv6 is infamous around these parts
To add to your temptation of driving there, the roads were pretty scenic and quite a nice sport car drive. I had fun even with both my lowered sedans. My last time there were 2004, and I wanted to take my nsx there for that many years... it will never make the boat ramp if I can scrap just putting around seattle areas. I guess it really depends on how low your car is and doing the homework of the tide and roll the dice.

We had a great time and the front-end scrape was pretty minimal.
