where on the west side highway?!? i usually get on at 79th street to head up to the GW and am always eager to stretch my legs a bit. never have seen any cops though (knock on wood)

 

and what was the cop car, marked or the tahoe,I've seen taxi cabs and also the blacked out charger.

 

I would love to go but I still have a set of slicks on my car from my last event, I dont want to burn them up on the street and did t have the time to swap them out .

Besides , as you guy's are mentioning cops and tickets that's why I rarely go on runs anymore, over the years I just got too lucky, and now the runs get too crazy out there!

 

i have never done a "run" before. is there typically a problem with police pulling over a group of us and writing a bunch of tickets?

 

Its inevitable, no matter how mature the bunch of people are going out, adrenaline kicks in and off we go for miles on the highway and in the twisties LOL , fun as hell but being in the law field just not worth it for me , dont need the headache!

On the exotics runs we do its like 90 of us out there and people get carried away for sure, with this small group it should be cool, just play it safe and dont go too crazy.

 

in my other cars i have built in radar detectors and laser diffusers. i do not want to install anything like that in this one. any suggestions as to which radar detector to buy that i can just put on the visor or windshield?

 

I had the valentine 1 hardwired in the car and it shines through the rear view mirror!

 

i can never figure out where he is hiding since i always get pulled over at the same place. it seems that after the toll booths after the henry hudson and hit the west side highway. there aren't many places he can hid but i think it's that cop car that is always parked right in front of the toll booths.. but usually the car is empty but i guess sometimes people are sitting in it =P

i got pulled over by two cars at the same time.. gosh they wanted to get me badly. a marked police cruiser and a undercover tahoe. the police cruiser was funny, he actually flew past me since there was some traffic on the breakdown lane.. got in front of everybody and stopped all three lanes... then slowly let cars thru and pulled me over when i passed. he thought i was going to run for it

 

are the NYC people still planning to meet up before the meet and cruise there together?

 

A large majority of these roads will not be patrolled
