I live on Long Island and its time for an oil and filter change......where can I get this done properly without going to the dealer ? Any very competent and honest independent shops around ?

Thanks

yes sir! a very good friend of mine did an engine transplant on my bmw back in the day, and has been my full service range rover mechanic (you know how painful those repairs can be)

anyway, its on great neck road, off northern blvd. its the shop that was the first BMW dealership in long island.

very trustworthy guy. Shop looks like an average mechanics shop, but i'm always going there whenever something goes wrong

Call them, and ask for Jake (he has a bit of an accent)

pm me if you need anything else. im in the area i wouldn't mind checkin out the turbo!

Where are you located near? If it's Nassau/Suffolk border, pm me and I'll send you to the best mechanic hands down on Long Island. Honest and stands by all his work (very well known in the Porsche community).

Tyrolsport was very pleasant to talk too. I will get my work done with him when the time comes.

If you're close to bill rudtner, go there...
