Good Porsche Mechanic in NYC?

I just bought a 2006 911 cabriolet and live in NYC.

I need to have some basic maintenance work done (brakes, tires) as well as some slight body work due to some damage at the parking garage.

Any recommendations for good mechanic?

I have taken it to the dealer, but the quotes seem pretty high.

Any thoughts on or experieces with Manhattan Auto Repair (aka Sports Car & Classic) on E 73rd?

Thanks.

Yep MMS - Bobby does great work!

I used Bobby Singh in 2005-2007 to do major work on my older Carrera (84)...he's well known and lives up to others' comments. down to earth, wicked smart, and has a good team working with him. The high end upgrades/custom work he did on peoples' cars was amazing!

After I left Manhattan, I used the dealer in White Plains - they were very good too, and just off Metro North stop (quick 35 min GCT express trains, if needed).

Now that I'm in California, I found another great shop to have the car worked on (Pacific Motors in SF), but definitely am glad to have had Bobby's hand at the earlier improvements!

If I were back on Long Island/NYC, I'd definitely still be using MMS (at whichever location).

I wish I could have found someone to work on my other cars with as much reliability as any of my Porsche providers!

I've had good experience with both Manhattan Motorsports (ask for Lenka) and Formula. I use formula for tires, oil, brakes and general ongoing maintenance. Use Manhattan for warranty work.
