The guys from Exotic Rally will be there. Thinking about stopping by myself as live about 10 minutes away. Just FYI, I was there about 3 weeks ago, there was two Staties at the entrance to the parking lot and at about 9:00 the Town of Babylon Code Enforcement **** starting handing out parking tickets. Tool.

The one place that works best for people coming from NJ CT and NY is the first rest stop on the southen state Parkway once you merge on from the cross island. if so you guys should plan to be at that rest area by 7:15 to leave by 7:30 no later.. OBI is gonna be packed and parking could be really hard to get.

Also watch out for that Older trooper/cop that drives an SUV. he is out of control angry man. he will chase you like they do in Hollywood Movies.. no kidding. all you have to do is be respectful as much as you can.

If you are coming from points West (e.g., Brooklyn, Queens, etc.) take the Belt to the Southern State. Exit at Meadowbrook Parkway South (Exit 22S I think). As you approach the toll boths stay to the left. The booths for people purchasing tickets for Jones Beach. WATCH THE SPEED LIMIT SIGNS! I cannot stress this enough, the Staties and Park Police will be all over you if you exceed the speedlimit around Jones Beach (35 mph).
As you head south the road will bend to the left (East). You are now on Ocean Parkway. Again watch the 35 mph speed limit. Continue East past the "Pencil" where the Wantagh Parkway meets Ocean (The Jones Beach Boardwalk). You are still in a 35 mph zone. Head past fields 4 and 5 at Jones Beach. As you head East you will past Tobay Beach, West Gilgo and Gilgo (some of the best surfing on the Island). The road narrows to two lanes right past Gilgo. Next landmark is Cedar Beach on your right. Almost there. I am guessing about 1-2 miles and the entrance to the old OBI lot will be on your right. If you get to the Robert Moses Causway or Captree you have gone too far. Two Staties will be parked there so come in slow, no noise displays, etc. Find a spot to park that isn't grass.

I actually meant the the first rest area after you merge from the cross island to the southern state.

wow I just realized this ***** is all the way out on LI...
For me to get there any time in the morning probably won't work... I can get into the city in 30 min, but to get through manhattan, onto 495, then so on, I can't see doing that and getting there very early, and from what I remember someone saying, this doesn't last very long?

So here Is the deal I emailed Seth from Exotic's Rally I planned for the 6 speed on line guys to join ER at Bj's Parking lot in freeport, then we all gonna roll together to OBI. here are the Maps
So NY and NJ people will all meet at the first rest area on the southern state parkway/ it's right after exir 13. to the right.
we will meet @ 7:15 am sharp leaving by 7:30 sharp.

I understand it could be confusing talking about it. but if you follow the maps I posted you will be fine. and that early in the morning on a sunday ther are no traffic. so the drive will be a breeze.

8am at bjs in freeport is what i heard, from nj its like an hour and 15 prob have to leave at 645-7 to make it there
meeting at bjs is the best idea since some dont know where obi is however you have to keep up the the ER crew which is sometimes a hard task
