Indy Porsche shop on LI?
I'm looking for an independent shop on Long Island that specializes in Porsches, for routine maintenance and minor mods like springs, exhausts...etc. Any recommendations? I'm near the Nassau/suffolk borderline. TIA

Rudner's in Freeport enjoys a good reputation...have only heard good things about them....have not personally used them.

TKX is the best bet, unlimited in OB is good but they have one guy full time and are not open on the weekends.
TKX on the other hand has 4 full time guys there, they are open on Saturdays (to accommodate the rest of the working stiffs out there) and are in the midst of track season so they are in full swing over there.
Your not a PCA member or you'd see the magazines with TKX in them, just throw up a search on google, Speak with Taso or Richy, they will get you sorted.

We're located in Medford and have worked on many Porsches. Here is one of the projects that we did on a 997 Turbo. Let me know if I can assist in any way. I will be PM'ing you shortly.

For the minor stuff, I go to Walter at Long Island Automotive. They handle all of my normal maintenance work on all of my cars, but are capable of a lot more. (They just swapped a tranny for me on my other car.) For a track day setup, I'd get the car teched at Lynmore Motorsports. They're track guys, and work mostly on Porsches, so I'd feel better about having them sign off on my life as they've seen it all. They're both in the Huntington area, and I couldn't say a bad thing about either.
