'00 Silverstone checking on. Nice to see some of the rides I've admired on s2ki and the mega-thread on HT over here.

Mine will be stock for 2-3 more weeks while I wait on some parts to arrive. Here's what I have so far - 17x7.5/17x8.5

I had an excellent opportunity to buy a beautiful S last year before the winter and I regret not picking it up. I am looking around now and seeing what I can pick up.. Hopefully I will have one for this summer
How do you guys find reliability with the supercharger added?

General rule for F/I - fine for the street.

If you're going to spend a lot of time at the track I'd be careful. Up here in the PacNW 100% of the hard core track guys have blown up their s/c S2000s.

How aggressive were the F/I setups that blew up? I'm on the fence about going F/I with mine, mainly because I am so high in elevation that I really need the extra power for passing. Otherwise I'd be content to leave it N/A.

an s2ki user modifry had his supercharged with the old ~300whp ~7psi comptech kit and had something like 175k miles before the motor needed to be rebuilt. he put the kit on at or under 50k miles IIRC. people say he drove it rather hard.

these motors have no trouble with boost. on the track you just need proper cooling, which might not come with the cheap kit, but SOS or KW will get you there no sweat.

One of the blown engines was a small pulley Comptech on a stock block w/ aftercooler.

All the others were track/street driven. Lap after lap with boost on a stock bottom end is not a good idea. Too much heat.

These were not real high boost setups - roughly high 200s/low 300rwhp setups.
