Heck with this economy, there is alot of used low mile metal out there for $30k. Heck for $30k I would do a C6 Vette tastefully modified.

Sure, I'd take the Cayman S over the 370Z if the price factor was taken out of the equation. A better question might be base Cayman vs. 370Z? I'd take the 370Z then.

Between the two I would go for the Cayman S > 370 Z. But its not exactly comparing apples to apples. I think the G37s would be a better comparison. Just my .02

A 350hp Nismo 370Z is coming:

It should be a formidable competitor even to the DFI Cayman S in terms of track performance. There's been no word yet on pricing though. I'm guessing there won't be much change from $40k.

As with the first one too busy and not the best looking addons. But it will be competative with the new Cayman PDK performancewise. I do like the rims a better than the normal 19 inchers.

As a Z32TT owner (with many mods...), Id take the Cayman S. Ive driven the 370Z and it drives great. Much more put together in the corners then the previous 350Z. Still though, nothing feels better then going around a corner in a Porsche imo. With that said, Porsche dealers currently are selling 08 models for 12-15k off the sticker price. So that 55k Porsche is now 40k. For that price, you spend the extra 6k and go for the Porsche.

Well for me I look at it this way, when people ask me what I drive? I would rather say a "Porsche" rather than a "Nissan." Don't get me wrong I love Nissans. I drive an 06 Nissan Titan!!

It is also like saying I drive a "Lexus" vs saying I drive a "Toyota" hehe.

cayman S over 370z anyday (brand news)
price considered, 370z hands down.
aesthetic considered, cayman hands down.
cayman < 370z
STI < EVO MR

end of the day, this decision cant be made without money factor so 370z wins imo.

I am pretty happy with my 370Z, it is an all around great performer for the money. I see a lot of people on-line rag about it's looks, but when folks see it in person and stand next to it they are always surprised at how good it looks, pictures do the car no justice.

I voted 370 (obviously), as I feel it suits me better, it is fun little weekend car. When I get up in the $40k to $50k range I would rather take the jump in price to something all together a better car, and there is just nothing that interests me until you get up in the $60k+ range (as far as new cars go).

I've got an 06 350Z and started looking at the 370Z pictures and said it was hideous. Said ah I hate where the Z is going. Then saw one in person up close and test drove it. I fell in love. It's so much better than the 350Z. So much more of a car.
