Sold my NSX...went a little more...old school

So after selling my NSX last month and freeing up a chunk of cash in what I would call a less-than-stellar economy, I decided I wanted to get back into another S30Z.
Except this Z has been through more extensive work than you could imagine.

A few pics:

Me blinking before the dreaded alt install

The money shot

I've done a little cosmetic work since the pictures were taken ( removed all the louvres and the rear whale tail in preparation for the more traditional BRE rear lip ), and I'm still working on her motor-wise, but she's all there.

Hope you all enjoy.

What engine is that? It's not an RB26DETT is it?

Nope. It's the RB's father, still an L series.

It's an L28ET from an '83 280ZX turbo. Rebuilt with nismo pistons bored .020 over, shaved crank, 3 angle head job and decked.

lol that's definitely not a V8 Z. You can still see the L motor in there.

Looks good regardless.

I like the silver so she's probably going to stay. If I was going to change color, it would probably be a deep blue or a dark wine red while keeping the flares and accents black.

Is that your FD? I would eventually like to have one.

The 2JZ is a pretty popular choice among the hybrid z guys. I've seen everything from an RB25 to SBCs to Jag V12s. You can fit just about anything into a Z bay.

Pics of the NSX:

Very cool. Yet another one of those cars I'd like in my stable. Dream on, Dweez...
