Hardly a Supercar, need help choosing wheels.

I want to get some wheels for my dd, 2009 acura tl sh awd model. I want to get 20 inch. But the aftermarket for this car is slow. I'm waiting on Jpipe, HFC's, cold air intake to be finished for the car, taking forever.

Suspension options are h&r springs, and that's it.

So i got bored, i will lower, tint and add wheels, and once all performance stuff is out, i will get those as well. My goal with this car is to have a great DD.

Why spend that much money? By the time you are done with all of the items mentioned above, you could have purchased something with significantly more power and arguably "better" for the same price tag. I have never understood spending that much of a percentage of a cars value on mods that don't do a whole lot.

all the performance mods would add to less than 1500$ + 4000$ for wheels and tires.

your logic is understood, but every car can have it applied to, if i bought an m3, added 15 000$ of mods, people would say should have bought this, or that, bottom line is that i can never drive a stock car. I want subtle mods, nothing blingy, tasteful.

For the money, <50 000 cad, this was the best NEW car deal out there in my opinion.

you would spend under 3k for a set of 20" Vossens and rubber.

I would go with some vossens man.. nice deep lip, great quality for monoblocks and good price..

If this is your DD, what is your weekend warrior if you don't mind me asking?

BBS LM's would look pretty good I think. A drop and aggressive offset will make it look awesome.

those are my favorite wheels, but they will look too busy on this car, 5 spoke, or 5 double spoke best look imo.

As for the above mentioned choices, CCW's look great but they wouldn't go well on the TL. BBS LM's are always a great choice and look great on everything for the most part.

With your decision to have a great daily driver you don't need anything too expensive or overly nice.

Go with a clean OZ, Enkei, SSR, or Volk wheel and stay away from all these 22 inch, fat lip wheels that all these companies are peddling in here like it's a Tijuana flea market. Stay with trusted names that have been around, not flash in the pan here today, customer service gone tomorrow nonsense!
