Show me your Subie...

New here, but noticed a few Subie owners. I'd like to see what everyone has, and what they've chosen to do.

My current(bought in Oct 09):

Very clean Sti...........I had an 05 with a few bolt-ons, ecutek tune etc. and it was a very fun little car but the harsh ride left my fillings rattled and too many honda civic rycers wanting to race!

yup, which is why i'm planning to get rid of mine. even thought i've got stiffer bushings, mounts, springs, etc, on the car, it actually made the car smoother overall. i love this thing, and smile every time i drive it (daily, actually), but i'm sick of the negative attention. if it isn't some kid trying to race me, it's a cop thinking i'm street racing or something.

just last week i got pulled over for "blowing through a stop sign at 38 mph" (as the cop put it) in my neighborhood, which is 25 mph. a minute later, he said i stopped 6 feet farther than i should have for the stop sign. when i brought up the fact that it's impossible to stop from 38 mph to zero in 6 feet without a solid wall, he had nothing to say. (not only that, but i never break the speed limit in my neighborhood - or any neighborhood. i always do between 18-23 mph, never over 25.) two days later, i walked out to my driveway and noticed a cop sitting around the corner from me. i got into my car, took my time getting settled in to see if he would drive off (he didn't), and drove away to go to work. he followed me out of my neighborhood, then just stopped at the main road and didn't move until i could no longer see him in my rear-view mirror.

i love my STi, but as soon as i get a few small things fixed on it, it's going up for sale.

That's why I always swapped trunks as a first mod. Wingless and WRX winged get less attention here in Colorado as everyone drives a Subaru.

I used to have all kinds of problems with cops in my '05 with the wing, including sheriffs following me with radar on full blast. I get 0 attention from the local roadside revenue collectors in the hatch.

Will post more once the stock/winters come off in a few weeks.

I love it! That's how a subaru should be driven, and that's exactly how it was built to drive!

^^ Awesome car. I'd love an RSTi. Problem is, around here RS coupes are either a basket case, or not for sale.

Branch out! I got mine from California. Out of the 9 cars I've owned, only 2 (my first 2) were local.

I currently have 2 at home:

An 00RS beater that is getting an eg33 motor swap within the next month or two (picking up a jdm v7 6speed swapped svx next week as a donor car):

and the lady's 08 lgt DD:

I used to have an hta68 07 sti:

This happened my first weekend of owning the STI:

Before that I had a very fun DD vf39 06 wrx:

I'd have a hard time not keeping the swap in the SVX. Esp it it's got a 6spd instead of the auto-tragic.

Nice collection of Subies there.
