Proceed with caution.
Had two 3rd generation rx7s.
Even rotary experts can't predict their lifespan.
Should wonder why at 20k miles it needed a rebuild but then again my first one had two rebuilds before it had 60k miles.
My current one has an Ls1 V8 in it.

Autotrader usually has 80 to 100 of those cars listed for sale during the winter months.
Don't pay more than $15k

Skeptical of the actual mileage, but a nice example like that could actually fetch close to $20k. Keep in mind the 94s are much rarer and the 95s are essentially impossible to find. I've seen 95s go for well over $20k.

I would venture $17k range if the car is clean. The stereo upgrades does make me wonder if the car is a show car, which means it could be a little on the heavy side.

My 94 lasted about 100k miles on original engine. The car tends to have issues here and there since it was getting old. Smog was a concern too.

Bottom line, these are sweet cars that require a lot of attention. If you have a rotary specialist near your hood, that's even better.

False.

Some shops will cut corners building these engines as they will run even in poor condition. The factory 3 piece apex seals were a weak link when trying to push more power out of the motor. I'll leave it at that.

On the value of the car. These cars are very hard to price right now and I deal with them every day. The majority of the market for these are very molested and beat up. However, I have seen low mileage cars such as yours that are documented fetch over 20K currently. The problem is that they are a cash only sale and the majority of the buyers are younger and lack the funds to purchase without financing.

As with anything its worth what someone will pay. For many buyers the mods will not help with the sale. If you can post up pictures I'll do my best to give you an idea what it would go for where I am and spread the word to my customers.

Try to post the car on rx7club.com or similar forums and see what kind of offers you get.
