finally started bolting things up

got the ignition coil pack, oil filler neck, fuel hard lines, manifold, waste gates, downpipe, etc...

then i bolted on the UIM to see what it'll sort of look like

sooooooo excited to see this!!

also i picked up an FJO Injector Driver from forum member Phrost (thanks Jay!)

so now, as far as the turbos go, the only thing thats left is to build the intercooler piping, should be getting done this weekend

Not a bad build. Not a fan of the gold wrap but otherwise a real clean car!

thanks man

the gold wrap is actually extremely functional

i started using the stuff about 1 year ago...i had wrapped my intercooler piping with it to try and get some lower intake temps on the road course

i went out for my first track day with it, and i was totally in love with the stuff after that

it brought down my intake temps by 10 degrees celcius

not to mention that after beating on the car at the track all day, i could drive my car into the pits, and full handed grip my all parts wrapped with the reflect-a-gold with no issues at all, and just sit there and hold them...the stuff is truly incredible for heat deflection

and in a rotary driven car...thats music to my ears...

after that i decided that every surface possible that needs heat protection, theres nothing better...so ye it might be a little tacky, but the benefits wayyyy out weigh the color loll

Heat reduction is definitely key on the rotary. The biggest reason I went with an aftermarket nose (C-West) on my FD was not for the looks. It was because the front opening was at least twice as large as the stock one and I wanted as much air to my radiator and IC as possible. Same for my Mazdaspeed vented hood. It was to help extract air from under the hood. On a hot day without those mods, I'd do 3 laps on track and the car would start to overheat. I also put custom ducting to force air through the radiator.

Where's the best (most cost effective) place to get that gold wrap?
