How does a Panamera compare to a 750I???

Having my dad owned an Audi A8L, and after riding in the Panamera, I'd go with the Panamera. It feels the same at low speeds and at high speeds (including acceleration) much better. I am not saying the A8L was not stable, it was, just not as nimble and sturdy.

How about with the Comfort Features? How does the Panamera compare with the big boys in comfort? Like Back-up Cam, key-less entry, Auto headlights shut off, Auto door close, Memory seats, Door lock/unlock acknowledge beep, Etc...

It's the same. It's up to you and your pocketbook to option it out like you would a Benz and Bimmer. All the goodies and gadgets you can get on the BMW and M-B are available on the Panamera.

You mean the "soft-close" door? Yes, that is the only option I can think of, but once you're seated and cruising, it has everything available.

I have a 2009 750Li with full leather dash, ceramics control and black ash wood, along sport package and a bunch of other options.
I drove a Pan Turbo on the track and on the streets when it first came out. The turbo is definitely the best performing 4-door car in the world in virtually any respect. In terms of comfort and quietness though, I don't think it is as good as the 750.
Depends on what is important to you. My 4 door sedan is for luxury cruising for 4 to 5 people. For me, the 750Li sport does that better than a PT.
If price is a consideration, then the 750Li sport really compares to a Panamera S. In that case, there is not even a comparison for me. I would take a 750Li sport all day long.
If price is not an issue and I don't need to ever hold 5 people, then the PT is the best sports sedan in the world.

Really? Does it have auto high beams, lane change warning, blind-spot detection, Active Cruise control, and Heads Up display? Those would be important options for me too.

I have to agree with terrence in that I would also probably choose a fully loaded 750Li Sport (preferably M-Sport equipped) if price is a consideration over an S.
While the 750i/Li is being considered the Alpina B7 should be thrown in the mix now that it's available. It's priced around what a well optioned 4S would be and is definitely an improvement over the already excellent 750i/Li.

medici, well there are a few more options that BMW has that Porsche does not.
Such as the pulsing steering wheel when changing lanes without indicator.
Or the warning lamp under the side mirrors indicating that a vehicle is near (possibly in the blind spot).
Auto- handbrake, in the BMW the handbrake comes on automatically when stopped and press accelerator releases it.
Coincidentally, does anyone know why Porsche recommends keeping car in gear on traffic signal? As opposed to putting it in N till the light turns green?
Very weird. I have a habit of sliding it into N till the light turns green.

i wouldnt want soft close doors....
they break easily and are expensive to replace!
tbh.... I don't treat my Panamera as a 4 dr sedan.... its really more like a coupe with 4 doors. i've been taking the Panny out for parties lately, and getting girls into the car could never be easier(I usually take the C4S or GTR to clubs LOL). not to mention I'm still driving a sports car rather then a big *** sedan.
