How does a Panamera compare to a 750I???
Simple question: How does a Panamera compare to a BMW 750I? Apples to Apples. Does anyone have and/or have had both? I would love to know. I am a proud 911 owner, but also had a 750I for when I took out customers and for misc. family trips. Considering a Panamera for the same.

Panamera has so much of a sportier feel, as well as the luxury comfy feeling you will love and ask yourself what were you driving before....750 are very nice, but not until the Panamera came around....

I have driven both and would pick the Panamera . Even both are large cars the Panamera has this almost cousin like feel of the smaller Porsches . It handles well. can move fast , has PDK yet offers some smoother luxury to it, and is comfortable without being bloated. The 7 series has that hint of Bangle yet does drive quite balanced --but not like Porsche .
The ONLY way I would pick the BMW is if I were leasing (which I don't ) . BMW lease programs are extremely good , the service is free (but not always easy) , and if all one needs is a big car with good handlimg and safety -- BMW does deliver at a much lower lease cost (MSRP /Porsche Vs MSRP /BMW).

I had not ventured into comparing the Leases. I usually lease one car (company pays it directly - great to do with pre-tax $) and buy the other (currently my 997). I have had a few BMW's and was very satisfied.

750i or 750Li is a great car. My brother has one and I have used it for extended periods of time. Great car. Plenty of power and very good handling.
As for the Benz, we just got done doing a 400 mile road trip in the S550 and it just gobbles up the miles but it is a bit of a boat vs BMW. Not a bad thing, just different strokes.
I recently drove the Panamera and loved it enough I pulled the trigger on the Turbo.
If you want a relaxing driving experience, get the Benz. If you want a rewarding driving experience, get the Porsche. The BMW is a in between, but leaning more towards the Benz vs Porsche.
All are great cars and you really can't go wrong with any of them, IMO. However, the Panamera has the nicest interior of the three, hands down.

actually it all depends on the type of customers you are taking out. The benz and the bimmer is very sedated and will not draw attention. The Panamera will stand out like overachiever IMHO.
In terms of driving, Porsche, then. benz/bimmer.

Ditto here. I've had a 750i (previous body style) and currently have a P4S and the Porsche draws more attention than any car we've ever owned. Personally, I'm not much on the new design on the BMW. Unless you get one loaded up they look frumpy too me. Even with the sport package there are some chrome bits that just plain look out of place. Granted, the Panamera has a very polarizing look and I wasn't much on the looks until I saw it in person. The car has a presence that doesn't come through in pics. As for driving experience; I have not driven the new BMW but I can't imagine it is even close to the driving experience of the Panamera......

i own a Panam and an S550. Panam is much sportier and responsive to aggressive driving. it feels like a sports car when you punch it, and it has the nice luxury interior comparable to that of an S Class.
the S550 is a boat. it's a luxury cruiser that you can drive with your pinky finger because of the massive assisted steering. ultimately, the S550 feels like air whereas driving the Panam you can actually feel the road.
i love both for different reasons, but the Panam is currently the favored vehicle.

Thanks to all. I really needed the opinion of someone that has had both. I have driven the Panamera and know the obvious cliché answers. Ive also been through BMW & Mercedes and wanted a hands-on view.
Thanks Again!

o...and 1 more very obvious thing...the Panam only fits 4 (even my 6' 4" boys fit comfortable in the back), but the 7/s class fits 5-6..i think i did 7 one time in the S....that's unless you order an S with the rear seat package...then you're apples to apples with a Panam.
