Gaucho is infamous around these parts
Second tank of gas on V6 -4 getting 21.3 mpg according to computer. This is combined highway and city average speed 45-50 mph - some stop and go with auto-off function engaged. Roughly it is saying that full tank range is in the 460 mile range. I am sure that it will get a bit better once it breaks in a bit more. It seems that the "sweet" spot for excellent gas mileage performance for this engine is in the 65-75 range. At those speeds the "range" gauge seems to "grow".

This is amazing. I drove non-stop today 300 miles. 28.6 mpg average at 75mph average speed. Truly amazing for a V8.

Gotta love the relative fuel efficiency of modern P-cars. Especially in an AWD V8.

The numbers posted here seem much better than the spec. Is this from auto start-stop? I was never able to get this to work during test drives. It never turned on even with the button on the right setting.

The mileage spec is conservative.

I regularly get 28 mpg with Garden State Parkway driving, cruising at 70. I seldom use the start-stop. As others have said, it's fun watching the available range increase as the average mileage increases.

To work the start-stop, the light must be off in American cars and the foot kept on the brake until you want to move.
