Wheel and tire hazard insurance
#16
Don't know the situation in Toronto. In Florida I paid $599 for Wheel and Tire Warranty when I purchased as part of a 5 year protection package together with unlimited Ding removal for $699 and annual Perma Plate Protection (Detail, Wax, Leather cleaner & conditioner and carpet Shampoo) for $918. All coverages are for 5 years.

Does anyone know if the coverage includes full replacement of curbed or slightly damaged wheels, or will the coverage only provide repair of those slightly cosmetically damaged wheels?
With the very high cost of aftermarket wheels, and the potential for damage, I think the coverage is worthwhile.
Is there a deductible?

Than we're going to pay for it either way...so may as well have the peace of mind! At least that's my view...

I think its well worth it.. A no brainer on a car with fancy wheels and tires...especially with all of the potholes that we have to deal with here in L.A.
On my last car, which had 20" wheels, I went through a complete wheel replacement, and replacement of six pothole damaged tires over the period of 3 years, which were all covered by the warranty, which cost me $650. I figure that I got about $3200 of value from my $650 investment.
On my new Panamera I already lost a 20" PZero tire and got flatbed service to the dealer. I paid $1000 for three years of coverage, and I have already gotten back almost half of the cost in the first month. Since I have the Turbo II wheels I can sleep better knowing that I have converage... Just replacing one of them will now make me more than whole for the total cost of the warranty.. I am not sure how anybody with 20" wheels can afford NOT to buy the warranty!

Going through the same decision this week for the Cayenne - buying it, not leasing like the 911. I just hate paying for these insurance things but I did get "safe lease" for the Targa since it was just a 2 year lease and I didn't know if I would keep it or return (991 ) . Already there is a nice thumb nail sized scratch on the passenger door and my wife managed to catch the passenger door handle with her purse and scratch the leather. Both are not driving me crazy but its always nice to be able to just feel like you don't have to spend tons of money getting it fixed when you return (just drop it off).
