Automatic rear lid

This thing drives me crazy, especially when entering checkpoints in closed garages.. When I open it from inside and controller also try to open from outside, it stucks and then needs to be opened by hand or pressing the button again.. They also try to close the lid manually by applying force..

I checked the manual but couldn't find anything about manually closing the automatic rear lid except when the battery is weak.. So I wonder if closing the lid manually gives any harm to mechanism?

Hatch operation

The hatch opening can be set by partially opening it and then adjusting the opening by hand, according to the manual. When the closing button is activated, it remembers that setting.
I don't know it as a fact, but it would seem that manually manipulating the hatch would not harm the mechanism.
