Panamera oil change. Need some help from asia-middle east owners
Hi all, need advice on my 1st oil change on the panamera v6.
Im living in tropical weather where the average temp is 28-35 degree celsius and very humid. traffic and road conditions are bad here(my pani usually runs at 30-50 km most times)...i wanna double cek as my dealer here is new and frankly not professional. Thks in advance ..
1) what type of oil/grades should i use? i know porsche recomend MOBIL 1 but which grades is more situatable for hot /humid weather and bumper to bumper traffic?
2) how many litres should be put in on a v6?
3) how many km-miles for each oil change under these condition? i know in the USA and europe they hv longer period due to better road condition and less humid weather.
Thks again for the input. CHEERS

I believe that you can stay with the Mobil1 0W40 even in hot weather, the 40 number represents the oil viscosity at operating temperature which is close to 100 celsius. The other reason to stay with 0W40 is the additives package is tailored for the engine and has more Zinc and Phosphorous than 5W40 or other "recommended" oils.
If you need more information go to the Mobil oil internet site and search for Mobil 1 information. Porsche test and evaluates it's cars under many conditions and yours is not outside their bounds.
As for change intervals, I'm not familiar with the v6 but my v8 indicates when to change oil on the central monitor, my first one was at 5200 miles.
