2011 PTT + Escort 9500ci Install

After owning the PTT for a few weeks and seeing how smooth/fast it drove, it became obvious a necessary add was going to be an Escort 9500ci system. Key factors for me going in were to make sure the integrity and overall beauty of the PTT were preserved (inside/out). I wanted the display and control units hidden as best as possible.

The all importand display unit in rear view mirror. This turned out really cool!

Control unit and power button discretely hidden in ashtray

Rear laser shifter flushed into bumper

Front laser shifters tucked/mounted in grill

Really pleased how it turned out

ACC vs Radar

My dealer would not perform this installation due to interference with the Adaptive Cruise Control.

If yours works properly, that is a great benefit!!

Thanks, JohnnyB

I'll test and let you know, Johnny. Haven't noticed anything different, but to be honest, haven't really paid much attention to a possible conflict w/ACC

I am considering a very similar install, but have heard of conflict with the ACC. The installer says it will work, but I really don't want to spend the money, schedule the time, and have my car ripped apart only to find it does not work! I would be MOST appreciative to hear how your system works out! Thank you!!!

Tested the ACC this am and everything worked just fine and no conflict with the 9500ci. Turned off the 9500 and the ACC performed the same w/o any noticebale difference.

Let me know if you want me to check anything else. Be happy to help

Hey F430,

I noticed you're in NYC. I just had a similar install (including the mirror) of a Valentine One and Laser Blinder done by Technik 1 in the city. They are a sponsor here. Gus is the man. I got my install done a month ago and it is the best. Period. PM me for more details if you like. I'm going to do a similar write-up to this about them. I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Brian
