Confused about PCM versions

My dealers just did a PCM upgrade the latest version 2.44, which has the clock function on the lowerright corner. When i asked if the map database has been upgraded, they werent sure. Suncoast sells PCM3.0 map for $400, is the map and PCM software different upgrades?

Yes, the map and PCM updates are different. The map update came out earlier this year, and is useful for 2009 and 2010 models.

My dealer did a PCM software update about 2 months ago. The system version is now 3.2.

I checked the manual but how do you know what version you are using from the PCM?

press INFO, OPTION, SYSTEM

Just to be clear. Are people saying they have a pcm upgrade for 2009 manufactured 2010 model cars that can have the clock on the right lower corner? My dealer said there is no upgrade available.

Thanks Kip, I have a 2010 built in late 2009. My PCM is 1.31. Do you know if that is the latest version for a MY10?

My dealer said 2011 and 2010 pcms are different machines, although visually the same, for 2010 no upgrades available and all the talk about it here is from 2011 onwards, no mention about 2010. I live in Europe so our versions are different, I have v3.1, but here is an old thread about the subject:

Is it possible MY10-MY12 are the same and the dealer does not know there is an PCM update? In my brief experience with the dealer handling unrelated issues, I had to repeatedly convince the service and parts dept. that certain parts did exist and that they needed to order it. At first, they said no such part existed.

I am beginning to think the service departments may not know much about PCM updates. Does anyone have an official technical bulletin on an update?
